How would you go about fixing your credit with Chex Union if someone wrote you a bad check?

Question by Porsche B: How would you go about fixing your credit with Chex Union if someone wrote you a bad check?
I received a scam check is what I guess you would call it. I was selling somethings to a guy and he wrote me a check to a closed account. My bank closed all my accounts because the check bounced or so. Now when I try to open another account at other banks that use Chex Union I can’t. If there is a way to fix this I would like to try…I’m only 18 && I don’t want bad credit.

Google Check Union report.

I have never heard of Check Union.
The one that has been around for decades is Chex Systems
Google Chex Systems report
You are probably on there too.
Click on send me my information – or something like that.
They will send you your report by mail.
DISPUTE the item.
Then a month later dispute it again.
Always try everything twice.

Check Union probably has the same system – do them both.
