The first thing you need to do is stop using your credit cards. You can’t get out of a hole until you stop digging.

Write down all your debt – the amount you owe, the interest rate, the company name (like the credit card company/medical bills/old utilitiy bills). You need to really understand your situation and not live in denial.

List all your monthly fixed expenses. Make a budget. Stick to it. You can do it.

Dave Ramsey has a talk radio and tv show. He gives excellent advice on getting out of debt. You do it in baby steps.
