If it is all possible:
Pay off all of your cards.
Pay off all new charges as if it was a debit card.
Do not cancel any of your existing card (this will lower your score).
Do not open up too many cards, or any loan at once (applying for too much credit at once will also lower your score).
Do not go over 50% of a credit limit on any card.
