Yes. Keep in mind you’re entitled to a free credit report from each of the credit bureaus each year. It’s important to contact each bureau because some creditors report one bureau and not the others.
Once you have the reports, look them over to make sure all the information is correct. If it isn’t, follow the procedures for disputing your report.
You could also consider credit counseling. It’s very common these days for people to utilize these services.
