I am working on repairing my credit now. But i have a car from drivetime sales ( a 2003 ford focus that i owe about 10,000 on) the loan is upside down. And the car breaks down every two weeks. I pay almost 500 a month for this car . I need help how can i get out of this loan.

Not much you can do to break even, no dealer or private buyer will give you what you owe!! You can try trading it in and leasing a vehicle you will probably have a payment WAY higher then you do now but after 3 years (and outragiously high car payments) the Focus would be paid off other then that deal with paying it off for the duration..
